Centennial Trail is the heart and soul of the Spokane River Centennial Trail system in eastern Washington. It is a 37-mile paved trail that provides hiking, walking, biking, and other recreational opportunities along the Spokane River.
Olmsted Brothers Green is a park with ample green space. It provides a picnic shelter for family gatherings and a playground for children. This park was developed by the Olmsted Brothers, John Charles and Frederick Law Jr., both notable landscape architects.
The Nest is another outdoor gathering spot where live music and outdoor events are held. A nest of osprey overlooks the plaza, which gives the community space its name.
On Wednesday evenings from mid-May to September, the
Kendall Yards Night Market opens downtown. Local vendors gather to sell local produce, handmade foods and crafts, and other local goods. The event brings live music, local food, and other exciting activities to the community.
